About Us
The main objective of the Canadian Hindu Link and this website is to educate our Hindu youths and young parents to help them understand and pass on their spiritual and cultural heritage to the new generation born or raised in Canada. Our focus is on interpreting and explaining the meaning and significance of our beliefs, traditions, customs and rituals in modern context. This journal and website also provide a forum to discuss and express their views on contemporary social issues and problems. We also provide well-researched answers to their questions and doubts concerning their cultural heritage, traditions and beliefs.Inderlekh Publications, a non-commercial, non-profit organization, publish the Canadian Hindu Link quarterly. Inderlekh Publications have published three books on Hinduism- The Hindus of Canada [1993], Hinduism: Myths & Reality [1995] and Dharma Karma and Much More [2005] - all written by Ajit Adhopia. The first two books were sold out, but the most recent one, Dharma Karma and Much More is still available.
We do not promote or favour any one particular sect, religious personality, religious/social movement or ‘ism’ in Hinduism, in Canada or India. Since Hinduism is a parliament of many shades of opinions and schools of thoughts, we pledge to maintain this spirit and legacy of our Dharma.
The Canadian Hindu Link is an independent journal. Neither this journal nor Inderlekh Publications is owned, sponsored by or affiliated with, directly or indirectly, with any Hindu temple, organization, movement or political organization in India or Canada. Our editorial board members- Ajit Adhopia, Prabhat Kapur; Kumar Agarwal; Dr. Nitin Deckha and Falitaa Chhabra (youth advisor) are all volunteers who receive no remunerations. Our only sources of revenue are our sponsors, who advertise in the journal, website and individual contributions. For operational aspects also, we entirely depend upon our dedicated volunteers who render selfless service [Nishkam Sewa] to make this journal and website available to you free of charge.
